Savaco acquires cloud integrator IT-Care

Kortrijk, 25 February 2020 – Savaco today announces the acquisition of IT-Care. The acquisition of the cloud integrator from Poperinge is fully in line with the growth ambitions of the Kortrijk-based IT service provider. With this acquisition, Savaco increases its turnover to 37 million euros and grows to more than 180 employees. The acquisition price will not be disclosed.

“This is an important step for Savaco in our further growth. Through this acquisition, we are convinced that we can better serve both IT-Care and Savaco's customers and support them even better with their digital challenges. IT-Care is a company that decided many years ago to focus on the public cloud. We are convinced that this technology is future-proof and we are proud to welcome additional expertise within that domain to the group," said co-founder and co-CEO of Savaco Rik Vandemoortele in an initial response.

Growth ambitions
Savaco, founded in 1991 by Carl Sabbe and Rik Vandemoortele, is a technology company that guides companies and organizations in their path to digital transformation. With 9 Trends Gazelle nominations, sustainable growth is a common thread throughout Savaco's history. With the entry of financial partner AAC Capital in early 2018 and now with this acquisition of IT-care, Savaco is further reinforcing its growth ambitions.

Carl Sabbe, co-CEO of Savaco about this acquisition: “This is a new milestone in our rich history and is fully in line with our proposed growth strategy. Within the digital sector, innovations follow one another at a super-fast pace. To follow these innovations for our customers and to implement them, a further scaling-up is required. With this acquisition, we not only create better services for our customers but also new opportunities for all employees of Savaco and IT-Care. We are therefore extremely proud of this new collaboration and welcome the IT-Care team with open arms. ”

Serge De Geyter, CEO of IT-Care, is also content with this acquisition and sees additional opportunities for the current 600+ customers: “Since its establishment, IT-Care has always been a pioneer in its field. The rapidly changing market and the current 'war for talent' ensure that a partnership is of vital importance to be able to maintain our position. The robust organization, structure and extensive portfolio that Savaco has to offer will ensure that the services and added value to our customers can continue to grow. ”

Complementary and reinforcing
Relieving customers of the complexity of IT and improving their business results through the use of IT technology is a common mission. Both parties can count on a lot of expertise and strong teams.

IT-care is a 100% cloud integrator and guides small and medium-sized enterprises in their transition to the cloud. With a strong Microsoft and Proximus "public cloud" focus, the IT-Care team facilitates seamless collaboration in a secure and productive IT environment.

"For Savaco customers, this means additional public cloud expertise, especially with regard to Microsoft Azure and Office 365," Vandemoortele explains. “Conversely, IT-Care customers now have access to the more extensive Savaco portfolio, on the one hand in the field of hybrid data centers, cybersecurity, connectivity, and on the other hand in applications such as CAD & PLM, Enterprise Service Management, Internet of Things, Big Data Analytics and Augmented Reality. "

In the short term, this acquisition will not change much in terms of customer approach. “Our main focus remains on providing excellent services. We do not foresee any significant changes for our Savaco customers in the coming months, "says Vandemoortele. “They retain their trusted contacts within the new organization, both technically and commercially. These can already be supported by colleagues from IT-Care who with their additional competencies can immediately offer added value to our customers. ”

"IT-Care customers can also continue to count on today's high-quality services," De Geyter adds. "Savaco will be able to offer added value to customers thanks to Savaco's extensive product and service portfolio, which includes 24/7 support and guidance with complex SharePoint and hybrid IT infrastructure projects."

Both organizations will continue to operate from their current locations (Kortrijk, Ghent and Poperinge). “We wish to make this transition gradual and manageable. We think this is best for both employees and customers. The final goal is to merge both parties.
