AAC’s portfolio company Corilus announces the acquisition of two add-on investments to its Belgian medical software platform, PC Sol and MediBridge. PC Sol is an independent supplier of General Practitioner software in the Walloon region of Belgium with c. 850 General Practitioners using its software. MediBridge offers electronic messaging and data exchange services to healthcare providers in the first and second line, enabling them to communicate digitally with each other. MediBridge is serving c. 9.500 healthcare users in Belgium, with a focus on the Walloon region.
AAC acquired Corilus in March 2015 with the intention to further strengthen its market position in Belgium by organic growth and through selective add-on acquisitions. With the acquisition of PC Sol and Medibridge, Corilus strengthens both its presence in the Walloon region and in the strategically important e-health sector.
Leader in connected healthcare
As the importance of the first line healthcare is increasing rapidly, due to aging population and more patient empowerment, governments are focusing on increasing cooperation of the various medical actors, both within the first line and with the second line. Corilus is ideally positioned to leverage on this trend of connected healthcare providers.
