Savaco acquires IT company Atri Services

Kortrijk, 31 May 2021 - Savaco today announces the acquisition of Atri Services. The acquisition of the Ghent IT specialist is fully in line with the growth ambitions of the Kortrijk IT service provider. By joining forces, Savaco wants to further strengthen its position in the field of ICT services in Flanders. With this acquisition, Savaco sees its turnover increase to 40 million euros and its organization expands to 190 employees. The acquisition price will not be disclosed.

“Through this acquisition and bringing the Atri Services team on board in the Savaco family, we further strengthen our capacity and skills in building powerful IT platforms. We are therefore convinced that we will be able to support both Atri Services and Savaco customers even more profoundly with their digital challenges," said co-founder and co-CEO of Savaco Rik Vandemoortele in a first reaction.

Further underlining growth ambitions

Founded in 1991 by Carl Sabbe and Rik Vandemoortele, Savaco is a technology company that guides companies and organizations in their journey towards a digital transformation. With 9 Trends Gazelle nominations under its belt, sustainable growth is a common thread throughout Savaco's history. With the entry of financial partner AAC Capital at the beginning of 2018, the acquisition of cloud integrator IT-Care in 2020 and now Atri Services, Savaco is further strengthening its growth ambitions.

Carl Sabbe, co-founder of Savaco about this second acquisition in a year and a half: “Our ambition is and will continue to grow sustainably. For example, we want to systematically increase our footprint in the IT landscape. With this acquisition of Atri Services, we are once again a bit stronger, especially in East Flanders, Atri’s operations base. We are therefore extremely proud of this new partnership and welcome the Atri Services team with open arms.”

Peter Maes and Piet Handekyn, CEOs/founders of Atri Services, are also pleased with this acquisition and emphasize the common mission: “With the ever-increasing complexity in IT and the many innovations that are rapidly approaching us, we, as a smaller IT player, were looking for a partner with extra know-how. That is certainly the case with Savaco. It is a solid organization with a strong reputation. Moreover, the DNA of both companies is close to each other. Our common mission is to unburden customers from the complexity of IT and to let them make use of the possibilities of technology.”

Strong in building dynamic IT platforms

Both parties can now boast a proven track record and a great deal of expertise in designing and building IT platforms tailored to 'mid market' companies and organizations in Flanders. Both Savaco and Atri Services have the trust of many reputable customers.

What does this acquisition mean for their customers? “For all customers, this mainly means extra manpower and a strengthening of competencies,” explains Vandemoortele. “In addition, Atri Services customers now have access to the expanded Savaco portfolio, on the one hand in the field of hybrid cloud, cybersecurity, connectivity, and on the other hand around applications such as CAD & PLM, Enterprise Service Management, Internet of Things, Big Data Analytics and Augmented Reality. ”

Customers and employees are again the biggest winners

“With this new partnership, we now have a diverse team of 190 highly qualified employees,” says Sabbe. "This offers fantastic opportunities for knowledge sharing and the broadening and deepening of our services for our existing and new customers."

“I fully agree with this”, Vandemoortele adds. “I also think it is important that we can offer the employees of Atri Services and Savaco even more career prospects. Our employees will now be able to work on even more challenging projects for different clients in various sectors. This will undoubtedly benefit our customers and our employees.”

The objective is to merge both sides and continue under the Savaco flag. The Atri Services team will be further integrated into the Savaco organization in the coming months. The existing base in Ghent will be retained. Both business managers of Atri Services will remain on board and will take on a management role within Savaco.
